Consultiva International’s Investment Strategy Committee presented its global economic outlook for 2017 at its annual conference this past Thursday February 23, 2017. The presentation of the 2017 outlook was accompanied by discussions on the topics carrying the greatest weight in investment performance. A group of fund managers accompanied the Firm’s key executives to provide details on investment opportunities and insights into risk management in different asset classes.

Paper presented at the Fourth Congress of Catholics and Public Life at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico on February 5, 2016. The paper focuses on the responsibilities of institutional trustees, the concept of trust, and its relationship with accountability and financial transparency. Concepts are discussed within the religious framework in which the practice of trust originates and includes responsibilities of institutional leaders for the benefit of the church and all its members.

The presentation on debt and the capital of Puerto Rico provides a compilation of information to analyze the loss of capital that the country has experienced through reduced value of the shares of local banks, reduced property valuations, and the negative valuation of debt instruments that various government agencies have sold in the capital markets to finance investments in public infrastructure, housing and other property of the people of Puerto Rico.
